Position Summary:

The Customer Service Representative position is responsible for providing clerical support to the Customer Management Team relative to placing and executing customer orders and responding to inquiries regarding accounts, products, or services. This position operates within defined systems or parameters and participates in a variety of order management activities and utilizes industry, plant and customer knowledge in performing responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Applies with accuracy and completeness, the basic fundamental of customer service and established processes and systems in the execution of the work with limited supervision.
  • Performs clerical duties in accordance within defined workflow processes, systems, policies, procedures, and practices that include building order specifications, material planning, sales order entry, miscellaneous invoicing, production guidance, specification approval, creating purchasing orders, records management, sales order entry and dispute management. Handles multiple accounts of small to medium customers with higher complexity
  • Works within department to coordinate production requirements, inbound deliveries, shipping. Supports processes that reconcile customer accounts including investigating and resolving customer complaints.
  • Maintains house accounts including warehouse replenishment programs, with direction from manager.
  • Provides a broad range of clerical support for management.
  • Works with the production staff and utilize KIWI system to achieve on-time customer deliveries Work
  • Works with sales staff to ensure accurate and timely customer communications
  • Provides excellent customer service through timely and accurate customer communications.

    Requirements:

  • 5 years of customer service/relations experience, preferably 1+ year industry specific customer service experience.
  • Experience handling multiple accounts with middle to high level of complexity.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes. Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Associates degree or BA/BS preferred; commensurate work experience in customer service, inside sales or other administrative roles.
  • Ability to multi task and effectively use priority management skills.
  • Ability to adapt with change demonstrating perseverance and patience.
  • Position requires a high level administrative, organizational and communications skills including exemplary telephone and email etiquette and ability to present self in a professional manner.
  • Accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, timeliness, reliability, patience and listening skills are crucial.
  • Must be comfortable working independently on a day-today-basis; but, equality adept at working closely with internal stake holders to support the execution of projects.
  • Must possess a disposition that thrives on a deep understanding of the details and ensures their execution.
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of date accurate data entry; proficient skills in Excel, Word and Outlook; ability to learn industry and customer specific computer systems. KIWI knowledge a plus.
  • Must be self motivated and strive for continued learning.
